Two ways I protect you

Leaving Nigeria, or staying? Either way, you're covered.

Most people who reach me here ask about one thing: travel health insurance for a visa. The rest want cover for the family at home. I do both, and I'll tell you plainly who stands behind each one.

Travelling abroad? Get visa-ready travel insurance.

Your visa gets you there. Your insurance brings you back. One day in a US hospital averages about $3,297 (KFF, 2024). Schengen won't even give you the visa without €30,000 of medical cover.

Azuka Orumgbe, Corporate Partnerships at ClearlineHMO and builder of WellnessOS
    Azuka Orumgbe · “Extraordinary Azuka”Corporate Partnerships, ClearlineHMO. WhatsApp 0806 838 7128.

My name is Azuka Orumgbe. I work in Corporate Partnerships at ClearlineHMO. I sell health cover, and I would rather say that plainly than hide it.

Earlier this year I spent six weeks with a Lagos firm, going line by line through maternity caps, admission days, global limits and preferred hospitals. They chose another HMO because the price was lower.

When people cannot see the difference, they choose the cheaper price.

Their decision was not the problem. The problem was that nobody had shown them what to compare, so they compared the only number they understood. The premium is the number that tells you least about whether a plan pays when someone is on a hospital bed.

So I stopped opening with plans. I have spoken about sickness financing every day for more than 1,200 days, and worked with 30+ organisations — banks, logistics companies, associations, churches, NGOs and families in Nigeria and abroad. Everything I learned is built into these tools, free, before anyone sells you anything.

Most people who find me here ask for travel health insurance for a visa. Clearline doesn't sell that, so I arrange it myself through a NAICOM-licensed partner insurer — and I still tell you if the family you leave behind needs cover at home.

“Beyond 5 stars. You do it just right by us in the hospitality business.”

NAFDAC's own checkers have known gaps: a July 2026 FIJ test found the Greenbook missed some registered products and returned wrong expiry dates. A miss is a reason to ask the pharmacist and NAFDAC, not proof of a fake.

      NAFDAC's rules, in plain English.

      NAFDAC's 4 Ps

      • Place: buy only from reputable, licensed pharmacies and retailers.
      • Price: beware of products sold far below the normal price.
      • Packaging: poor quality, spelling mistakes, odd bottle shapes, no maker's address.
      • Product: strange smells (like paint stripper or nail-polish remover) mean danger.
NAFDAC DG Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, Jan 2024 · BusinessDay

      Check before you buy

      • Always look for the NAFDAC registration number before purchase.
      • Compare how the medicine looks with what you used before.
      • Cross-check the date markings.
      • Don't buy medicines on the internet.

      World Health Organization

      • Check the packaging for damage, spelling and grammar errors.
      • Dates and batch on the outer pack must match the inner pack.
      • The medicine should not be discoloured, degraded or smell unusual.
      • Security seals intact, leaflet inside.
      • Not working, or a strange reaction? Tell your pharmacist or doctor.

      • Buy from a registered pharmacy with a licensed pharmacist.

Pharm. Dr. Lolu Ojo, Merit Healthcare · Channels TV, Sept 2025
"It has a NAFDAC number, so it's original."Fakers copy real numbers. The number must match this exact product on the Greenbook, and the pack must pass the other checks.
"It's in the Greenbook, so this pack is safe."The Greenbook confirms the product is registered. It can't see the pack in your hand. Scratch code, seal and source still matter.
"Expensive means genuine."Fakers copy expensive brands too. A price far below normal is the warning sign. A normal price proves nothing.
"Market drugs are the same, just cheaper."Sun, heat, no traceability and no pharmacist. If something goes wrong, there's no receipt and no one to report.
"Syrup is safer for children."Syrups and powders are the easiest to contaminate. "My Pikin" teething mixture killed 84 Nigerian children in 2008 because it contained an antifreeze chemical.

Step 2 · buy from people you can trust

      Trusted pharmacies near you.

Type your state, city and area, for example Edo · Benin City · Uselu. We search public map listings and rank each place by its reviews, how many people reviewed it, and whether it lists a phone number and opening hours. These results aren't limited to one HMO's list. Then confirm the premises licence with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).

Pharmacy or chemist? Know the difference

A pharmacy has a registered pharmacist and can dispense prescription medicines. A patent and proprietary medicine vendor (PPMV, or "chemist") is licensed by the PCN to sell only simple over-the-counter medicines. For antibiotics, injections, insulin, BP or sugar medicines, go to a pharmacy.

        Why I built this

This is my corporate social responsibility: helping Nigerians check before they swallow.

I'm Azuka Orumgbe. I work in health insurance, and I've watched families pay twice: once for the sickness and again for a medicine that didn't work. This tool is free for everyone, whether you have an HMO or not. If you're unsure about a pack, send me a photo on WhatsApp and I'll help you work out the next step. And if you want medicine you don't have to worry about, cover you, your parents or your staff through accredited pharmacies.

Can a photo prove my medicine is genuine?

No, and any app that says it can is overselling. A photo can show warning signs: spelling errors, a wrong NAFDAC number format, dates that don't match, a broken seal. Confirmation comes from NAFDAC: the Greenbook, the scratch-code reply, and lab testing when a report is investigated.

        Are my photos stored?

No. They're shrunk on your phone, read once to pull out the printed details, then discarded. Don't photograph prescriptions with names or ID numbers on them.

Where does the pharmacy list come from?

Public map listings (Google Maps, or OpenStreetMap when Google isn't available) and their public reviews. "Trust signals" are based on reviews and listing details. They are not a licence check, so always verify the premises with the PCN.

        Is this run by NAFDAC?

No. WellnessOS is an independent, free public-health tool built by Azuka Orumgbe. It follows NAFDAC's and WHO's published consumer guidance and links you to NAFDAC's own tools and reporting channels.

I already took a medicine I now think is fake. What do I do?

Stop taking it, keep the pack, and talk to a doctor or pharmacist about how you feel. If you have a severe reaction (trouble breathing, swelling, fainting, fits), go to the nearest emergency room or call 112. Then report it to NAFDAC.

Will my HMO pay for this medicine?

Type the medicine or what it treats. We match it to how Clearline plans usually handle that class of drug.

From the Clearline provider schedule (August 2026). Hospitals change status; always call the facility or Enrollee Care before you travel. Bands: A is the widest access, D the most basic — your plan decides which bands you can use.

        2. Ask them to send the PA request now

        4. Don't pay cash for covered care

Who we are. WellnessOS is built by Azuka Orumgbe, Corporate Partnerships, ClearlineHMO (Clearline International Limited, RC 493596, NHIA code 003), Clearline House, 290 Ikorodu Road, Anthony, Lagos. We process personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

The tools collect nothing by default. Calculators, the coverage checker, the drug check and the hospital finder run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us. Some tools remember your progress on your own device; clear your browser storage to remove it.

When you send us something. If you submit the report form, the consultation form or a quote request, we receive what you typed (name, phone, email, who you're covering, and for consultations a short reason). We use it only to answer that request. Forms are stored by our host, Netlify. Consultation details are shared only with the care team handling your consultation.

Video consultations. Rooms run on Jitsi Meet (8x8), open in a separate tab and are encrypted in transit. We do not record calls. Anyone with the link can ask to join, so share it only with the care team.

The chat guide. If the live AI is switched on, your chat message is sent through our server to an AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) to write a reply and is not used by us for anything else. Do not type ID numbers, diagnoses or test results. If the live AI is unavailable, answers come from a guide built into the page and nothing leaves your device.

WhatsApp. Buttons that open WhatsApp write a message for you. Nothing is sent until you press send.

Measurement. We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to count visits and sign-ups that come from our adverts. It never receives health answers, uploaded photos, test results, ID numbers or payment details. Tap Turn off on the notice at the bottom of the page and it stops for this browser; everything else still works.

Health data. We do not ask for diagnoses, test results or enrollee IDs in any form. Please don't include them.

Your rights. Ask what we hold, correct it, or delete it: o.azuka@clearlinehmo.com or WhatsApp 0806 838 7128. We act within 30 days. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Retention. Form submissions are kept for up to 12 months after your last contact, then deleted.

Not medical advice. WellnessOS gives health education and navigation. It does not diagnose or treat. In an emergency call 112.

        Received. Thank you.

Azuka will reply on WhatsApp within one working day.
